How this report was made

Sources and Method

Every date, time and figure in this Special Report was checked on Monday, October 19, 2026, against the organizer’s own page where one could be read, and otherwise against the publication named beside it. Where two sources disagree, both figures are printed and the disagreement is explained. Items marked “TBA” or listed under What Is Not Announced Yet were looked for and not found.

A note on independence. Art Week NYC is presented by Penske Media Corporation, which also owns Artforum, ARTnews, Art in America and the Robb Report. Most coverage of the event so far comes from those titles. Biennale treats their descriptions of the event (“first of its kind,” “premier”) as the organizer’s own and relies on them only for facts the organizer controls: dates, names and lists. No independent review of the event existed on the date checked.

All 34 photographs in this Special Report are hosted in the Biennale image library and were published on Unsplash under the free Unsplash License, which allows editorial and commercial use; none is an Unsplash+ or agency image. Each is credited to its photographer in its caption and below. None shows Art Week NYC itself: no event photography had been released for reuse on the date checked, and no free-license photograph of the Park Avenue Armory or the New Museum building was found, so those two venues are described rather than pictured.
